Job Summary
The **Primary Maths and Science Teacher** is responsible for teaching Mathematics and Environmental Science (EVS)/Science to primary-grade students (Grades I–V) following the **ICSE curriculum**. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans, foster curiosity, and build strong foundational skills in numeracy and scientific thinking among young learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach **Mathematics and Environmental Science (EVS)/Science** to students of **Grades I to V** as per **ICSE Board guidelines**.
* Prepare **daily lesson plans**, worksheets, and teaching aids aligned with the ICSE syllabus.
* Use **activity-based learning methods**, storytelling, and practical examples to make lessons engaging.
* Develop students’ **basic numeracy, logical thinking, and observation skills**.
* Conduct **simple experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities** suitable for primary students.
* Assess student learning through **class tests, oral assessments, projects, and assignments**.
* Maintain **student records**, report cards, and assessment documentation.
* Provide **individual attention** to students with different learning needs.
* Encourage **curiosity, creativity, and participation** in classroom discussions.
* Maintain **classroom discipline** and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Use **visual aids, charts, models, and digital tools** to enhance teaching effectiveness.
* Communicate regularly with **parents** regarding student progress and behavior.
* Participate in **school events, staff meetings, training programs, and co-curricular activities**.
* Support preparation of **examination papers** and evaluation of answer scripts as per ICSE standards.
Required Qualifications
* **Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or equivalent)** with Mathematics and/or Science as subjects.
* **Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)** from a recognized institution.
* Knowledge of **ICSE curriculum and teaching methods** for primary grades.
Required Skills
* Strong **foundation in basic Mathematics and Science concepts**
* Excellent **communication and storytelling skills**
* Ability to handle **young learners patiently and creatively**
* Strong **classroom management skills**
* Skill in preparing **worksheets and activity-based lessons**
* Basic **computer skills** (MS Word, PowerPoint, educational apps)
* Ability to **motivate and engage primary students**
Preferred Qualifications
* **1–3 years teaching experience** in an ICSE or similar curriculum school
* Experience with **smart boards and digital classrooms**
* Training in **child psychology or primary education methods**
* Ability to conduct **project-based and experiential learning**
Working Conditions
* Teach **Primary Section (Grades I–V)**
* Follow school working hours with additional time for lesson planning and assessment
* Participate in **school functions, exhibitions, and academic events**
Pay: ₹20,000.00 – ₹25,000.00 per month
