Two beauties (for two very different reasons), looking for a new home before we sell our own!
John Gardner, most famous for Grendel, his version of Beowulf from the monster’s perspective and, sadly, for a great writing career cut short because of a motorcycle accident, always considered himself a poet before a novelist…
Here are two unique takes on that claim…

1) A signed copy (one of only 300 printed) of his collected poems in a beautiful display edition via Lord John Press (1978).
2) A one-of-a-kind type of rarity… A 1st edition hardback of his book-length “translation/version” of the dark as night Jason and Medea mythos-tragedy… Besides having a unique, meaty voice amid the heart pounding action. This particular copy also has a bit of book-art incorporated into its contents: beneath an admittedly time battered dust-jacket, at some point b/w 78 and 2025, awaits some past owner’s painting (acrylic as best as I can figure) of one of the pivotal objects of the story: The Golden Fleece resting on a tree limb, set against a black painted background!
People are fascinating!
The signed Collected Poems is going for $45 if by porch pick up or $50 (plus S&H via USPS Media) if by mail.
The one of a kind (hence, rather impossible to justly price) edition of Jason and Medea is going for the same ($45 or $50)… or make me a reasonable offer…

Or bundle both volumes for $75 (porch pick up) or $82, plus S&H (by mail).

Venmo or PayPal preferred.
Do DM with any questions!
Thanks!
