**Job Details**A Plumbing Designer is responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating plumbing systems in building projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepare plumbing layouts for water supply, drainage, and stormwater systems
* Design and size piping networks, pumps, tanks, and fixtures
* Perform calculations for water demand, pressure, and flow rates
* Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and BOQs
* Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines
* Ensure compliance with applicable codes and project specifications
* Review shop drawings and assist during construction stages
* Support site teams with technical clarifications
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a related field
* 2–8 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design (depending on role level)
* Proficiency in design software such as **AutoCAD**, **Revit MEP**, or other BIM tools
* Knowledge of plumbing codes and standards (local codes, IPC, NBC, etc.)
* Understanding of water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and fire-fighting systems
* Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing
* Familiarity with coordination in MEP services
* Good communication and teamwork skills
